Theron, the player, should resurrect four frozen champions and guide them through the big single dungeon. Of course, there are lots of ways to create a powerful party of champions. The task is to recover the Librasulus firestaff and defeat Lord Chaos.

Dungeon Master was released by FTL Games back in 1987 for the Atari ST and then ported to other platforms including PC, DOS, SNES, Apple and translated from English into German, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese. Hidden chambers, giant monsters, magic spells, puzzles, secrets, good sound effects. In those days, the game was extremely atmospheric and incredibly realistic.

This video game is the best-selling game of all time and the prototype for the whole 3D dungeon crawler genre. Dungeon Master RPG was inspired by early Ultima games, but later influenced Ultima VI's user interface and seamless map.
Dungeon master popularized the paper doll interface when armor and weapon are arranged over a paper doll silhouette of a character. It's a large interface of an entire character that we can see in almost all modern role-playing games.
